Creative work; Piece of architecture; Original photo

Three Sisters, Blue Mountains
pencil on paper, 2013

I've chosen this study of the Blue Mountains landscape from a series I completed for my hsc body of work; which explored the different forms of mark making I found in places around the world. Throughout the landscape I've created 'broken circle-like' marks to depict the distinct Australian bush.

Quadricci Pavilion, Milwaukee Art Museum

The sail boat-like structure of the pavilion compliments the immediate landscape and lake culture of Milwaukee (Lake Michigan). The pedestrian bridge connects the museum down town, while the 'wings' open according to operation; which is interesting as it furthers the museums sail boat-like design and influence.

Kayangan Lake Lookout Coron, Philippines

This photo was taken during my family's holiday to Coron, Philippines. The different shades of blue and green water creates an interesting contrast with the dark limestone cliffs. The lookout is situated next to a bat cave.
